How Weird

I have a very busy day ahead so i thought i would leave you with this photo that i took at my local grocery store parking lot. Its a real live Bunny Car!! Do you see the blue?.....Well it really is some sort of furry fabric and it covers the entire car!! I had to sit in a Que to drive past it as so many people were stopping to have a look.
Peace

A busy weekend

Saturday was our 6 year anniversary. It is true - we have been together for that long which means i have been living in the UK for six years. Wow - that is really difficult to get my head around.

We decided to go out to Dovedale for the day and just take in the countryside. Here are some photos that we took along our 5 mile walk.
Sunday we had my mom and dad round for lunch and along with a leg of lamb i made this delicious Lemon pie. I don't normally like lemon pie's but this one was yummy.
We also managed to get some time in at the car boot and i found this lovely little wooden house that i picked up for 50p! What a great price. I have a project in mind already - i just need to set aside some time. Tonight i have to do a circle journal which needs posting out tomorrow so i wont be able to make a start on it tonight.
At about 7:00pm last night out house suddenly got very smokey. We looked out the window upstairs and the neighbours garden was on fire! Don't ask me what they had done but man was it kicking up a lot of smelly smoke!

Looking up and looking forward....

Last night i got to spend some time with my journal. I sat down with a cup of tea and just stared at the page for ages with lots of different thoughts going round my head. No matter how hard i tried to form a proper sentence i just couldn't put anything in words. So, i grabbed a few magazines that i had lying around and i went to it. I cut out all sorts of different words that relate to what i am thinking, how i am feeling.....devastated, attitude, dreams, bride, always tired. It truly was amazing how many words you can find. I then decided to make a collage of them in my journal and by the end of it i was very happy with the result.

Today things are not feeling all that much better BUT i am looking up and looking forward. I have been learning that you don't have to do what your feelings say. Part of growing in your faith is learning that you can choose to be happy despite how you feel so this is my sole goal for today.

This is the next project that i want to cast on, minus the ribbon belt thing. I have the yarn already and the pattern, i just need 10 minutes to read through it and get a general idea of how it all fits together.
My tomato is coming along fantastically. I have another inch or so left to knit before i start the ribbing and once that is done then i need to block it and wear it!! I am so excited. I was hoping to have it finished by the 14th but i am not sure if that is going to happen. We will see.

Do you remember me telling you about the great bargains that i got off of eBay for the needles and the yarn? Well it arrived and i am very pleased.

I have been bitten by the knitting bug and unfortunately scrapping has taken a back seat - but that is alright with me because at the moment i am doing what i enjoy and i will always go back to scrapbooking.

Some eye candy for you:
I found this beanie on Neither Hip nor Funky (this is her photo as well) and then from her blog you can find this link, Beanie pattern. This is on my list of future projects for Stu.

Then, how about this beautiful Butterfly Frame - again this is on my projects to do list.

And how about this cool knitting blog - Knitting your town.

And just look at this lush jewellery from QVC

Are you a Bagaholic? Take a look at these lovely bags. Actually her entire site, Craft Apple, has got some great stuff on it!

Oh, and how about these beautiful quilts. This is definitely something that i want to try my hand at next!
And how about these for wedding invites or baby announcements? In the appropriate colours of course.

Make your own newspapers clippings
And how about this beautiful quilt made by Jenny which can be found here

That is just some of what is keeping me busy at the moment. It looks like we are finally going to have a sunny weekend and we are hoping to head on Saturday as it is our 6 year anniversary. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

God Bless.

Life at the moment

At the moment i am finding life a little difficult. I cant seem to get out of this dull valley that i have found myself in. I cant pin point exactly why i feel this way or what emotion it is that i am mainly feeling but i know that whatever it is is not good. I'm feeling sad, I'm feeling angry, I'm feeling let down with where i am in my life. I might take some time tonight and write in my journal - get some of these thoughts and feelings onto paper.

I was hoping to do a happy post today with lots of inspiration but i think i will leave that for tomorrow now.

Here is July's roundup. Thanks Katies for a great idea!

What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
This month i have read my normal Joyce Meyers Magazine. I have also started A Thousand Splendid Suns and Look Great Feel Great.

What movies and/or TV shows did I watch this month?
Tuesday nights is NCIS on FX TV and Thursday nights is Greys Anatomy on Living TV. Other than that i don't watch a lot of TV.
Living with Stu of course we had to go and watch Harry Potter the first night it was out. We also rented Ghost Rider which was alright but not entirely my sort of film.
This past weekend we also went to watch Simpsons. A very "feel good" movie.

What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I had a lovely appointment*she says with it dripping with sarcasm* with a lady nurse for lady things. So glad that is over for another 3 years!
Sadly, Bob passed away on Sunday 29th - we will miss him so very much.

What special or unusual purchases did I make?
This month we bought Stuart an xbox360 and too many games to count.
I bought myself some Armani Code perfume and also got a great bargain off of eBay for some sock yarn and sock knitting needles

What were my accomplishments this month?
*Stu passed his HGV Theory test first time....way to go honey!
I wrote my first exam for my course - still waiting for the results but just writing it feels like an accomplishment all on its own.

Well, that's my July all wrapped up.

Thanks for allowing me to share this with you and hopefully tomorrow i will be feeling a little more on top of things.
